CMM Specialist - Clearfield, UT (Full-Time)

General Summary

ES3 is currently recruiting a CMM Quality Assurance Specialist to support multiple programs and long-term growth at our Materials Research and Development Center (MRDC) located in Clearfield, Utah. The position requires the candidate to be skilled at setting up and operating CMM and conventional inspection devices used for verification of precision metal parts and fixtures as specified on travelers, blueprints, drawing, templates, 3D models or pre-existing machine programs.  The position will require full operational capabilities with a Zeiss CMM and other metrology devices.  The successful candidate will be proficient at GD&T, capable of thriving in an ISO9001:2015/AS9100D environment, be responsible and professional.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Qualified candidate must have a strong working knowledge of metrology and measurement techniques and tools including calipers, micrometers, Height Gages, optical comparators, bore gages, gage pins, gage blocks etc…
  • Candidate must have (5) years of experience setting up and programming Zeiss CMM’s and be fluent in Calypso and Curve.
  • Excellent knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T 
  • Calibration experience a plus
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Good math skills
  • ASQ certifications such as CQIA, CQI, CCT are desirable
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills

Manufacturing Engineer - Clearfield, UT (Full-Time)

General Summary

ES3 is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer to support multiple programs and long-term growth at our Materials Research and Development Center (MRDC) located in Clearfield, Utah. This position requires experience in multiple areas of aerospace engineering focused in a production development environment.  The successful candidate will be involved in all activities from R&D, design, procurement, manufacturing and production, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction.  Strong knowledge and experience with SolidWorks, GD&T, fabrication of precision metal parts using multi-axis CNC machine tools and process optimization is required.  The position will also require great communication and organizational skills.  The successful candidate will be a responsible professional, a self-motivated leader who is capable of thriving in an ISO9001:2015/AS9100D environment.

Machinist I - Clearfield, UT (Full-Time)

General Summary

ES3 is currently recruiting a Machinist I / Entry Level Machinist to support multiple programs and long-term growth at our Materials Research and Development Center (MRDC) located in Clearfield, Utah. The position requires the candidate to be knowledgeable of setting up and operating both conventional (manual) and CNC Lathes, Mills, and/or other machines used for cutting, drilling, milling and boring to produce precision aerospace parts and fixtures as specified on travelers, blueprints, drawing, templates, 3D models or pre-existing machine programs.  The position may require executing simple programs on CNC Lathes and Mills using software systems such as Esprit or MasterCam. The successful candidate will have some basic knowledge of GD&T requirements and is comfortable working in an ISO9001:2015/AS9100D environment.  ES3 rewards staff members who are responsible, professional and have an excellent work ethic.


Education and Experience Required

  • High School Diploma and previous OJT training, Technical Programs or Certifications of Technical Training 
  •  2 Year’s Experience hands-on-experience with machine tool operations. Trade school or specific education can be contributed towards the 2 years required experience
  • Must have a general working knowledge of manual machining and/or NC/CNC multi-axis machines using pre-existing programs

General Summary

Aircraft Technician/Machinist - Warner Robins, GA (Full-Time)

General Summary

Under the supervision of the Southeast Operations Director, the Aircraft Technician/Machinist is responsible for day-to-day operational project activities and maintenance technician tasks. Responsible for on-time delivery to customers executing production schedules as well as communicating with operators, management and engineering. Will perform specialized Technician duties to include hands on aircraft maintenance and operating machinery. Will work with Engineers and Technicians to identify and establish process improvements, cost reductions, time standards, technical manuals and repair and overhaul of aircraft and their components. The position will require the set up and operation of Lathe, Mill, Grinder, and/or other NC/CNC machines to perform and produce precision metal parts and materials such as cutting, drilling, milling, boring, grinding as specified by Job Traveler, blueprints, drawing, templates or layout.  The successful candidate will be proficient at GD&T, capable of thriving in an ISO environment, be responsible and professional.


Education and Experience Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree and/or 2 years Technical/Trade school training or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in Machining and Part Fabrication
  • Electroplating experience is a plus
  • Non-Destructive Testing (MPI, FPI, etc.) level 2 or 3 certification is a plus
  • Ability to perform sheet metal repairs to a variety of aircraft, possess an in-depth knowledge of sheet metal materials and repair techniques is a plus

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Fabricate parts and accomplish repair and overhaul aircraft technician and machinist activities related to U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy aircraft, including vertical lift aircraft.  Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Must be familiar with military and/or commercial aircraft technical manuals, technical orders, modification work orders and blue prints.  
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and rudimentary drawings.  
  • Review engineering drawings, illustrations, and written/verbal correspondence to plan the fabrication sequence to fabricate parts to specifications in a timely manner
  • Must be able to hold close tolerances, including set up of tooling and materials
  • Must be able to operate NC and CNC mills, Lathes, and Grinders including set up and selection of tooling and materials and Operation of stone and belt superfinishers is a plus.
  • Must be able to program CNC lathes / mills / Grinders including set up and selection of tooling and materials
  • Coordinates with project engineer personnel throughout duration of project, and provide technical assistance to project engineers, contractors and factory representatives.  
  • Must use tools and equipment associated with a sheet metal and fabrication shop, such as protractors, calipers, pitch gauges, crimping tools/machines, forming machines, power shear and brake, heli-arc welding machines, saws and drilling presses, etc.  
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
  • Must be able to apply knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100D Quality systems

General Summary

ES3 is seeking a Part-Time professional to develop and integrate software to analyze digital images and video for identification of anomalies in landing gear components.  Research and the development of the thermographic imaging pipeline including: image/video acquisition, quality assessment, preprocessing, analysis, defect detection, metrics, reporting including interpretability, and validation.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Computer Vision Experience with multiple image modalities including:
  • RGB

  • Aerospace technologies experience, preferred

Education & Experience Required

  • Master’s Degree Electrical Engineering

Administrative Assistant - Warner Robins, GA (Full-Time)

General Summary

ES3 is seeking a Full-Time Administrative Assistant at the Warner Robins, GA location to provide administrative support to the existing staff of Managers, Engineers and Technicians.  Duties include office and telephone reception, clerical assignments, project based work responsibilities and other assigned/ad hoc basic administrative tasks.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct callers to appropriate personnel
  • Prepare memoranda, correspondence, reports, purchase orders requests
  • Research information as directed or determined
  • Sign for front office packages and sort and distribute mail and received shipments
  • Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc)
  • Maintain office calendar and office & break room supplies
  • Assist in planning and coordinating company events to include accommodation and entertainment arrangements 
  • Coordinate travel arrangements
  • Prepare reimbursement requests to include: cash, business meal, and travel expense 
  • Prepare and submit purchase requests
  • Responsible for monitoring office re-current safety and training records
  • Responsible for office filing and storage duties
  • Provide Human Resources support by orienting new employees, assembling and distributing new hire packets and distributing/collecting required HR forms
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
