Software Developer - Clearfield, UT (Full-Time)

General Summary

Responsible to perform software development for internal web-based and other ES3 software projects, US Air Force projects and in support of ES3 engineering projects in a team-oriented work environment.  Demonstrate ability to use software development best practices in activities such as requirements analysis, design, coding, software configuration management, documentation and testing. Demonstrate the ability to effectively work independently and within a team.  Demonstrate the ability to problem solve and be self-motivated.  Must be able to interact with management, engineers, subcontractors, team members and customers in a professional and collaborative manner.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, coding and testing of web-based and other software applications
  • Relational database schema design, and creation
  • Create documentation in support of system design, software testing, system administration and system usage.

Thermal Spray Technician - Clearfield, UT (Full-Time)

General Summary

Looking for an entry level position responsible for performing Thermal Spray coating and Water Jet cutting / material prep operations and other work as assigned by the Thermal Spray Lead or General Manager in a timely manner.  Will work in an ISO/AS9100C environment and follow shop work instructions, process specifications, and work within local, state and federal environmental, health and safety programs to ensure employee safety. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review job folder to verify areas to be masked, cleaned coated or cut.  Confirm all requirements prior to start of work
  • Perform HVOF thermal spray coating application per work instructions
  • Record all applicable data per work instructions
  • Ask Lead if unsure of work assignments
  • Report damaged parts to Lead or Supervisor
  • Report parts of poor quality to the Lead or Supervisor
  • Obtain the materials necessary to perform job – from the Lead if necessary
  • Appropriate and accurate recording of materials used per job
  • Appropriate use and maintenance of mask materials
  • Keep the work area neat and orderly at all times
  • Return any supplies not used to appropriate area
  • Report to the Lead or Supervisor when work assignment is completed
  • Assist in post process/receiving or anywhere else directed by Lead or General Manager 
  • Provide general part degreasing, masking and grit blasting
  • Work with Quality Management on manufacturing issues, inspection criteria, audits and resolution of findings 
  • Maintain strict document control standards and quality policy compliance 
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
  • Must be able to learn and adhere to requirements of an ISO/AS9100 Quality Management System
  • Perform other duties as requested 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Demonstrated skill set to match functions listed under “What You Will Be Doing on the Job”
  • Follow detailed work instructions

Education and Experience Required

  • High School Diploma 
  • Thermal Spray experience in HVOF is a plus but not required
  • Experience in surface preparation including cleaning, masking and grit blasting a plus
  • Experience in Aerospace/Military industry a plus
  • A desire and aptitude for learning how to program Robots and operating a variety of sophisticated equipment

Tooling & Fixture Design Engineer - Warner Robins, GA (Full-Time)

General Summary

The Tooling Design Engineer is responsible for creating and improving tooling and fixtures to be used in both aircraft repair and overhaul production tasks.  This engineer will largely facilitate engineering directives for related sheet metal, composite and machine fabrication to accept those tools. This is a great opportunity to work in a cross functional engineering environment while collaborating with structural repair & overhaul, quality and production engineers and maintenance personell to meet project goals and directives.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design tooling and fixtures, special machinery and/or equipment required for repair and overhaul production purposes of large military aircraft.
  • Design, install, qualify and troubleshoot production machinery and test equipment
  • Write machine specifications for the procurement of production machinery and test equipment
  • Work with standard principles of tool, jig and fixture designs and automation processes for various machine tool production operations. 
  • Prepare workable drawings or sketches.  Provide technical advice and assistance to aircraft mechanics, welders, painters.
  • Collaborate with structural repair and overhaul engineers to achieve desired production goals.
  • Interact with the operational workforce as well as other engineers, manufacturing and management personnel
  • Read and interpret drawing, specifications, and contractual requirements of production systems and fabricated items
  • Support multiple programs and manage priorities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Highly advance level use of SolidWorks for solid modeling concept and design
  • Technical Writing, SGML and/or XML authoring a plus
  • Mechanical Testing a plus
  • Material, Analysis a plus
  • CNC Programming and machining experience is a plus
  • Investigate production facility problems requiring engineering advice and assistance.
  • Develop protocols and plans to commence necessary corrective solutions.  
  • Make recommendations for tooling and fixture design changes.
  • Maintain files and records of  tool drawings, and for machines and produce technical information and related data.
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication equipment is a plus. 
  • Demonstrated advanced computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management and timely execution of workload and projects.
  • Team orientated with the ability to influence others.

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelors Degree (Aerospace, Aeronautical, , Mechanical Engineering) from an ABET accredited university or college. Masters Degree is a plus.
  • 5-7+ years of related experience (C-5 Aircraft preferred)
  • Large military aircraft experience (C-130, Cargo, C-17, C-141 or other commercial Aviation structures and airframes) strongly desired.

Non-Destructive Testing Level II and Level III Inspector - Warner Robins, GA (Part-Time)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform NDT inspection using automated inspection systems and manual techniques.
  • Evaluate and interpret NDT scans of metal and composite materials.
  • Calibrate, standardize, set-up and utilize nondestructive testing equipment
  • Conduct tests to ensure and detect discontinuities (indications) using applicable NDT methods of inspection
  • Apply inspection criteria in accordance with applicable customer specifications or standards and evaluate results
  • Ensure all testing equipment is in properly calibrated
  • Perform inspection of components and assemblies to determine worthiness per appropriate specifications
  • Plan and Prepare inspection reports ensuring all records of rejection and corrective action are reported, logged and filed correctly in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Routes rejected parts and assemblies to appropriate department for disposition and/or repair. Alerts supervisor on any noteworthy trends or issues.
  • Ensure regular maintenance of equipment.
  • Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations
  • May provide training to others as required.
  • Perform other job related tasks as assigned by Management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Possess and demonstrate the ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections for aircraft components with the following methods: Liquid Pentrant, Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, Magentic Particle and Radiography
  • Must be able to work independently or in collaboration with other team members 
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret customer specifications and drawings
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, good communications skills
  • Desktop (PC) computer and Windows-based tools to produce original documents including sketches, plans, procedures and reports.
  • Employee must be able to pass an annual eye examination
  • Exceptional Safety and Quality awareness
  • Have mechanical aptitude
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Must be able to understand and apply work-related documents such as operating manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Experience working on F-15 and C-5 aircraft preferred.  Other aircraft platform experience is a plus.
  • Experience in sheet metal/structural maintenance and machining is a plus.

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelors Degree (4 year technical program) or Equivalent with  experience in NDT Methods and Techniques
  • Certified as Level II and level III by National Aerospace Standards 410 (NAS 410) in at least four (all five is preferred) of the following methods:  Liquid Pentrant, Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, Magentic Particle and Radiography.  
  • 5 plus years experience Level II and Level III NDT techniques
