Subject Matter Expert (SME) F-16 Structural Repair SME – Clearfield, UT (Part-Time)

ES3 offers a rewarding opportunity for a highly experienced individual with documented professional knowledge of the F-16 aircraft repair processes.  As a subject matter expert, this individual will administer expertise and guidance toward the following:

 

  • Developing F-16 repair processes to perform F-16 depot level repairs and TCTO’s. 
  • Researching all relevant part numbers based on the specific Block and type version of the F-16.
  • Developing reliable fastener and hardware list to perform an F-16 depot level repair or modification.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide Subject Matter Expert knowledge and expertise for development, marketing, and implementation of ES3 SHM applications onto United States military, FMS, and commercial customers  
  • Provide business development coordination and guidance associated with technology transfer of ES3 innovative aerospace solutions into potential Department of Defense (DoD) and commercial customers 

Capabilities

  • Must have extensive knowledge of F-16 depot repairs such as Lower 341 Bulkhead replacements, main carry-through bulkhead replacements, Canopy Sill Longeron Replacements, Falcon STAR TCTO’s like Lower 446 Bulkhead replacements, BL 19 longeron replacements, Upper Fuselage Skin Enhecements and Vertical Flaperon Skin Cut-Outs etc. 
  • Must be able to build part and fastener lists based on F-16 assembly drawings and ordering all necessary hardware (bits, reamers countersinks) to perform a specific F-16 repair. 
  • Must have the ability to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and F-16 tech data and drawings effectively.

Education & Experience Benchmarks

  • Must have 8+ years of depot level F-16 sheet metal experience. 
  • Must be able to review drawings and tech data on a computer and generate smooth flowing process for performing depot level repairs and put the information into PowerPoint or Word. 

Additional Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • The ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Contractor Access Card (CAC) 

Travel Requirements

  • May require CONUS and OCONUS travel to advise and assist technicians in performing depot level F-16 repairs.
